Arrivals at Geneva Airport — FAQ
Where can I see live arrivals at Geneva Airport today?
The live board on this page refreshes every 30 seconds. It is supplied by Avionio, which mirrors the official gva.ch board. The same information appears on the screens in the arrivals hall, and any flight number can be tracked in full detail on FlightAware (airport code GVA / LSGG).
Which terminal do flights arrive at in Geneva?
Nearly all flights arrive at Terminal 1. Terminal 2 is only used at peak times in the winter ski season, mainly for charter traffic. Some flights to and from France use the French Sector of Terminal 1, which has its own separate exit.
How long does it take to get out of the airport after landing?
Plan 20–40 minutes from touchdown to the arrivals hall: 5–15 minutes to disembark (longer for bus gates), passport control only for non-Schengen flights (5–20 minutes), then baggage claim. With hand luggage only on a Schengen flight, 15 minutes is realistic.
Where do I meet arriving passengers at Geneva Airport?
In the public arrivals hall on the ground level of Terminal 1 — all passengers from the main terminal exit through it. Passengers on flights arriving in the French Sector use its separate exit instead. Check the live board above to time your arrival at the airport.
Is there passport control for Schengen arrivals at GVA?
No — arrivals from Schengen countries go straight to baggage claim. Non-Schengen arrivals (including the UK) pass through passport control, which typically takes 5–20 minutes depending on the time of day.
Where can I see today’s departures instead?
All of today’s departures with gate, status and delay information are on our Geneva Airport departures live board, refreshed every 30 seconds.
