Every airline at Geneva Airport.
Around 50 airlines fly from Geneva (GVA) — from SWISS and easyJet to Emirates and Qatar Airways. Here’s who flies where, which alliance they belong to, where you check in, and the baggage rules that catch people out.
One main terminal, one charter wing
Almost every scheduled airline checks in at the main terminal (T1). The smaller T2 wing opens mostly in winter for ski-season charter flights.
Geneva is a single-building airport: all scheduled airlines use the main terminal (T1), with check-in desks arranged in numbered rows in the departures hall. easyJet, by far the largest carrier at GVA, has its own check-in zone and bag-drop. The T2 wing is a separate, simpler building used seasonally for charter and additional ski-season flights — if you’re on a winter package, check your boarding pass for “T2”. Both terminals share the same train station, security and baggage areas. See the terminals guide and the airport map for the layout.
Online check-in opens 24–48 h before departure with most airlines; bag-drop and check-in desks typically open 2–3 h before and close 40–60 min before departure. For the fastest path through the airport, combine online check-in with hand luggage only, the security priority lane, and — if you qualify — a lounge.

Airlines at Geneva Airport — FAQ
Which airlines fly from Geneva Airport?
Around 50 airlines operate at Geneva (GVA). The biggest is easyJet, followed by the home carrier SWISS. Others include Lufthansa, Austrian, Brussels Airlines, Air France, KLM, British Airways, Iberia, Vueling, Emirates (daily A380), Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, TAP Air Portugal, ITA Airways, Aegean, Finnair, SAS, United and Air Canada, plus seasonal and charter carriers — especially in winter for the ski season.
Which terminal do airlines use at Geneva Airport?
Almost all scheduled airlines check in and depart from the main terminal (T1). The smaller T2 wing is used seasonally, mainly for winter charter and ski-season flights. Both share the same security, train station and baggage halls. Check your boarding pass — if it says T2, allow a little extra walking time.
Where does easyJet check in at Geneva Airport?
easyJet is the largest carrier at GVA and has its own check-in and bag-drop zone in the main departures hall of T1. Use online check-in and the easyJet app where possible, and note easyJet’s strict cabin-bag policy — see our easyJet baggage guide before you fly to avoid gate fees.
How early should I arrive at Geneva Airport?
For short-haul flights within Europe, arrive about 2 hours before departure; for long-haul or in busy ski-season weekends, allow 2.5–3 hours. Check-in and bag-drop typically close 40–60 minutes before departure. With hand luggage only, online check-in and the security priority lane, you can move through faster.
Do airlines at Geneva Airport share lounges?
Yes. Geneva has no single airline mega-lounge for every carrier; access is by alliance status, business class, or a paid walk-in/Priority Pass. Star Alliance Gold travellers use the Swiss Senator Lounge; SkyTeam and other contract passengers use lounges such as Marhaba; pay-per-visit options like Aspire and SkyView welcome anyone. See our lounges guide for prices and access rules.
