Contract lounge positioning
Marhaba operates the “premium contract” tier at GVA — airlines pay Marhaba to host their Business and elite passengers. This means consistent service standards aligned to Emirates/Qatar quality, not the pay-walk-in Aspire/SkyView tier.
Food & drink
Hot buffet 04:30–21:00 (Middle East / Mediterranean inflected — hummus, falafel, lamb tagine alongside European standards), à la carte for Emirates First, open bar with Champagne (Pol Roger or similar).
Quiet zone
Separate quiet seating area with reclining loungers — popular for the 6h+ Dubai/Doha layovers.
Showers + spa
3 shower rooms with premium amenities (Bvlgari brand). Emirates First gets a complimentary 15-minute massage by appointment.
Family room
Children’s play area and family seating zone — useful for the Emirates/Qatar leisure clientele with kids on long-haul connections.
Marhaba Lounge Geneva — FAQ
Who can access Marhaba Lounge at Geneva Airport?
Free access for: SkyTeam Elite Plus (Air France/KLM Platinum and Gold, Delta Diamond/Platinum, Korean Air Million Miler, etc.); Emirates Business and First class passengers; Emirates Skywards Gold and Platinum; Qatar Airways Business and First; Qatar Privilege Club Platinum; Turkish Airlines Business class; Turkish Miles & Smiles Elite and Elite Plus. Walk-in payment is NOT available — you need eligible status or a premium-cabin boarding pass. Priority Pass, LoungeBuddy and Dragon Pass do NOT work for Marhaba.
Where is Marhaba Lounge at GVA?
In Terminal 1B (Non-Schengen side), Level 2 above gates D40–D50, adjacent to SkyView Lounge but a separate entrance. Walking time from central security: 8–12 minutes (passport check at T1B entry adds time). Take the elevator up one level after passing through T1B entry. Marhaba is NOT in T1A — Schengen-bound passengers cannot access it.
Can I pay to enter Marhaba Lounge GVA?
No — Marhaba is a contract lounge, not a pay-walk-in lounge. There is no day-pass option. If you don’t have eligible status or premium-cabin ticket, use SkyView (CHF 65 walk-in, T1B, accepts Priority Pass) instead. Marhaba reception will politely redirect non-eligible passengers to SkyView next door.
Is there a shower in Marhaba Lounge Geneva?
Yes — three shower rooms with premium Bvlgari amenities, included with your free Marhaba access. Towels, robes, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion provided. Emirates First class passengers can book a complimentary 15-minute massage in the dedicated spa room at reception (subject to availability). Highly valuable for long-haul connections from DXB or DOH.
Is Marhaba better than the Swiss Senator at GVA?
Different positioning. Marhaba (T1B, Non-Schengen, SkyTeam/Emirates/Qatar/Turkish) has Middle East-inflected service and larger capacity (~150 seats vs Senator’s ~80). Senator (T1A, Schengen, Star Alliance) feels more European and more exclusive (smaller, quieter). You can’t directly compare — they serve different alliance passengers in different terminals. If you fly both Schengen and Non-Schengen, you’ll know both.
