Premium vs functional
If you qualify for free entry, the Senator lounge is noticeably better than the paid Aspire — but the line of difference is service quality and ambience, not food.

Who can access the Swiss Senator Lounge at Geneva?
Free access: Star Alliance Gold (all variants — Swiss Senator, Lufthansa HON/Senator, United Premier 1K/Platinum, Air Canada Aeroplan 75K+, Singapore KrisFlyer Gold, ANA Diamond/Platinum, etc.); Swiss First Class ticket holders; Lufthansa HON Circle. Premium-cabin tickets alone do not grant access — you need Business class plus the right airline (Swiss/Lufthansa Group), or you go to the Swiss Business Lounge next door.
Can I buy access to the Senator Lounge at GVA?
No — Swiss Senator Lounge is status-only, no walk-in payment option. If you don’t have Star Alliance Gold or above, use Aspire (CHF 50, T1A) instead — it’s a 2-minute walk away. Priority Pass, LoungeBuddy and Dragon Pass do not grant Senator access. Only Lufthansa Group HON Circle members get the “skip-line” privilege at reception.
Where is the Swiss Senator Lounge at Geneva Airport?
In Terminal 1A (Schengen side), above gates C53–C60, adjacent to the Swiss Business Lounge — same entrance corridor, Senator desk is on the left, Business desk on the right. After central security, follow signs “Swiss Lounges”. Walking time from security: 5–7 minutes. Senator is NOT in T1B (Non-Schengen) — if you fly Non-Schengen and want Star Alliance status access, there’s currently no Senator-equivalent in T1B at GVA.
Is there a shower in the Senator Lounge at GVA?
Yes — two shower rooms with fresh towels, premium amenities (Boscia or similar). Included with your free Senator access. Excellent for HON Circle and senior status passengers between Lufthansa Group long-haul arrivals and Schengen connections.
Can I bring a guest to Swiss Senator Lounge GVA?
Yes — Star Alliance Gold members are entitled to +1 guest, free of charge. The guest must be travelling on the same itinerary OR on a same-day Star Alliance flight from GVA. HON Circle and Swiss Senator members also get +1 guest. Children under 2 are free in addition. Reception may refuse a guest at peak Friday evening hours due to capacity (~80 seats).
